If there's one thing I would criticize is the lack of taste of Omanis. As a French, coming directly from Paris, the capital of luxury and refinement, I opened wide eyes on this curious mode of grotesque sculptures at the center of the (very) many roundabouts. And I could not keep these photos taken for me to cut away at our getaway weekend.
Here they are exclusive:
This one is one of my favorites: Nizwa, the ancient capital, rich in history, is now a tourist town , one of the most important center of date production, but ... no more!
Wonderful incense burners terra cotta: the one just above the right is lit from within to symbolize the glowing coal, which melts the resin incense. We can not stop the sophistication!
Here we hallucinating? No, it is no tea for Alice in Wonderland:
latter, near the Omani border-Emiro (?), is a bottle of rose water ... so cute!
And since I went on a roll, continue on film sets that adorn the roadsides: at the entrance of the old city of Muscat, Muttrah or port, fortifications refurbished, like new:
And if, in fact, the taste was that a subjective impression?
